APP Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and processed when accessing this APP or using our services provided via the APP, as well as the rights and obligations in association with your personal information.

The company responsible for selling products or providing services via this APP is Shenzhen Times Ark Technology Innovation Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as the “Company” or “we”, “us”), a company duly established under the laws of China and having its principal business address at 4th Floor, Building C, Mingxin Industrial Park, Hualong North Road, Longhua New District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.

By accessing our APP or using our services, you are deemed to have read and accept the Privacy Policy.


What and how we collect your personal information?
We will only collect and process the type of personal data as specified for the following purposes:

Personal information is information that can be used to identify you directly or indirectly. Personal information also includes anonymous information that is linked to information that can be used to identify you directly or indirectly. However, Personal information does not include information that has been irreversibly anonymized or aggregated so that it can no longer enable us, whether in combination with other information or otherwise, to identify you.

We only collect and use personal information which is necessary to comply with our legal obligations and to assist us to administer our business and provide you with the services you request.

● We collect information from you when you register with us, request for Bluetooth connection with your device, respond to a survey and/or use the APP for controlling your device.
● When registering with us, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter the following information: your name, e-mail address, and/or cellphone number. Under such context, we will also collect additional information from you such as your Bluetooth and device ID.
● When you use function with respect to hearing aids, we will also collect voice information you input using the microphone and local storage features to enable us to provide corresponding services to you. Your normal of such functions maybe affected if you choose not to provide such information.
● In order to provide statistical analysis services, and improve performance and user experience, we need to collect your device's unique identification code (IMEI/android ID/DEVICE_ID/IDFA, SIM card IMSI information, OAID) through application startup data and exception error log analysis.
● We may also use or integrate third-party SDK(s) in our APP particularly SKD for message push services to be provided to you. To that end, we may collect information relating to device identifier in your APP, hardware information of your device, basic system information and system setting information. We will ensure that any such information collected by us and shared with third-party SDK(s) shall be subject to this Privacy Policy as well as any privacy policy as set out by such third-parties receiving information from us.


What do we use your information for?

We use the information you provide to us for the specific purposes for which you provide the information, as stated at the time of collection, and as otherwise permitted by law. The information we collect from you may be used in the following ways:

● To create authentication process
Your account information helps us to identify you personally when you are trying to login.
● To personalize your experience
Your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs.
● To improve our APP and your use experience
We continually strive to improve our APP functions based on the information including the user habits and feedback we receive from you.
● To improve customer service
Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.


Legal Basis for the Processing of Personal Information

If you are in the European Economic Area (“EEA”), our processing of your personal information will be based on the following: To the extent that we obtain your consent for the processing of your personal information such processing will be justified pursuant to Article 6(1) lit. (a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”). If the processing of your personal information is necessary for the performance of a contract between you and us or for taking pre-contractual steps upon your request, such processing will be based on GDPR Article 6(1) lit. (b). Where the processing is necessary for us to comply with a legal obligation, we will process your personal information on basis of GDPR Article 6(1) lit. (c), and where the processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests, such processing will be made in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1) lit. (f).

You are also entitled to restrict or object, at any time, to the further processing of your personal information. You have the right to receive your personal information in a structured and standard format and, where technically feasible, the right to have your personal information transmitted directly to a third party. You may lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority regarding the processing of your personal information.

To protect the privacy and the security of your personal information, we may request information from you to enable us to confirm your identity and right to access such information, as well as to search for and provide you with the personal information we maintain. There are instances where applicable laws or regulatory requirements allow or require us to refuse to provide or delete some or all the personal information that we maintain.

How do we protect your information?

You are responsible for safety and security of your own username and verification code received from APP for authentication purpose. We recommend that you do not share the verification code with anyone else. Please do not use the same account on multiple devices.

That said, we do implement a variety of security measures including offering the use of a secure server. We store your personal information in the server cloud with firewall protection and adopt security technology and procedures to ensure the security of your personal information. The network communication between APP and server adopts SSL encryption technology to ensure the confidentiality of data transmitted between APP and server.


Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personal information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our APP, conducting our business, providing health consulting services, sending you information or updates or otherwise servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or other’s rights, property, or safety.


How long do we retain your information?

We will retain your personal information for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by tax, accounting, or other applicable laws.

Updating the Privacy Policy

If we decide to update our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page, and/or update the Privacy Policy modification date below. If you continue to use our services after the aforementioned announcement is revised, you are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted the revised Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the revision, you should immediately stop using the services provided by us.
