Understanding Kingwell Hearing Aids

How to Use Your Hearing Aids?

  • Step 1: Wearing Your Hearing Aids with Ease

    • Choose the Right Ear Tips: Find the ear tips that fit you best (small, medium, or large, vented or non-vented). You want the tips to feel comfortable, not too tight or loose.
    • Confirm Indicator Lights: Open the lid of the charging case and make sure all three indicator lights are on. This shows that your hearing aids are charged and ready to use.
    • Put On Your Hearing Aids: Take the hearing aids out by gently grasping the sides (avoid touching the Touch Sensor).
    • Install Ear Tips: Remove the old ear tips by twisting them off, then securely twist on the new ones.
    • Fitting Your Hearing Aids: Place the hearing aids in your ears and twist them slightly until they fit snugly and comfortably.
    • Hearing Aids Activated: Once your hearing aids are in place, you will hear a bubble-like prompt. This means they are turned on and ready to help you hear better.
    • Storing Your Hearing Aids: Place the hearing aids back into the case and close the charging case.
  • Step 2: Download the myKingwell App

    • The myKingwell app offers two hearing modes: · Hear in Noise – Ideal for noisy environments. · All Around – Suitable for everyday use.

You can easily pick the mode that suits your environment. Switching between modes is simple in 3 ways:

    • Experience Sound Changes After wearing your hearing aids, try different environments to see how they adapt, and notice how the sound clarity, volume, and comfort adjust to each setting.
    • Adjust Volume and Noise Reduction Based on your listening experience, you can fine-tune the volume and noise reduction settings using myKingwell App. Simply use the slider to adjust the volume or toggle the noise reduction level for better hearing. 30 Days, Four Steps
Mastering Your Hearing Aids with Ease

Adapting to hearing aids can take anywhere from 1 to 6 months. During the first 30 days, it’s normal to face some challenges, but don’t worry—this is part of the process. We’re here to guide you through every step of your hearing journey, ensuring a smooth transition.

Common Issues You May Encounter
  • Unsure of proper placement for a secure fit
  • Bluetooth connection problems
  • Hearing echo, feedback, or strange noises
  • Unnatural, muffled, or distorted sound quality
  • Difficulty hearing the TV or during phone calls
  • Discomfort when wearing
  • Struggling to distinguish or locate sounds

We understand these challenges and are committed to helping you overcome them with our structured four-stage adaptation plan:

Day 1 : Getting Started

Begin by familiarizing yourself with your hearing aid’s features using the user manual.

Wear the hearing aids and let your ears adjust, taking breaks if needed.

Day 1 - 7 : Initial Adaptation

Get used to environmental sounds, recognizing that it’s normal for things to sound strange at first as your brain recalibrates.

Complete a hearing test and upload your audiogram through the app to personalize your settings.

Day 7 - 30 : Adjustment Period

Gradually increase the amount of time you wear your hearing aids each day. Experiment with different environments to adapt to various listening situations.

Get used to your own voice and practice conversations.

Perform listening exercises to improve your ability to distinguish sounds.

Day 30 and Beyond : Stabilization Phase

Remember that while hearing aids provide excellent support, they can’t fully replicate natural hearing.

Be patient and persistent when facing more challenging listening scenarios.

Continue practicing and fine-tuning your settings to optimize your hearing experience.
